Anytime for new students
Taster classes and First Courses can now start anywhere in a term, as Chris has re-designed the First Course syllabus as a rolling ten week loop that no longer focuses on a specific beginning and end. Rather, it covers all the key beginners areas in a smooth circular flow that can be entered equally well at any point. Perfect for new students, who no longer have to wait for a new term, but can jump straight in!

25 "brilliant" years
In 2012 PBA is proud to be celebrating 25 exceptional years, as you may have deduced from seeing our
quarter-centenary stamp (right) at the top of the page. A pioneer of the group matwork format in this country,
Chris Hocking started PBA in 1986 when it was the only school of its kind. The first and still the best,
PBA has established a defining UK standard that many have followed, but few have equalled.
Please have a look at Chris's 2012 PBA Mission Statement.

Spurs football club take up Pilates
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has turned to yoga and pilates classes in a bid to boost the long-term fitness of his squad. It may be a surprising move by a man considered the most archetypal English manager in the top-flight, but Redknapp revealed himself to be a big fan of the exercises today.
"It's fantastic... I think pilates is just an amazing thing," the veteran boss said. "It's great for the players. They are all doing it now."
"It's brilliant. It makes the players more supple. Ryan Giggs is in to it, big time. It certainly has kept him in good shape."
The Spurs squad have taken well to the classes, according to young full-back Danny Rose, who credits the classes with helping him recover from thigh and ankle injuries. "It's a lot of fun," he said. "I'd take yoga and pilates over running up and down hills any day."
