Pilates Weekends and Holidays
Over the years we have visited beautiful venues abroad in places such as Normandy, Trentino, Andalucia, and Crete, plus some gorgeous areas in England, including Springhead in Dorset and Croydon Hall in Somerset. These holidays restored us to good health and helped to deepen our understanding of Pilates.

Wellness Sundays
In 2009 we enjoyed restorative Wellness Days in our latest retreat venue, Oriental Therapies in South Woodford, near Epping Forest and we look forward to many more in 2010.

The day consists of two indepth Pilates lessons – one in the morning, the other later in the afternoon – with a long break in between. Working in conjunction with our recommended therapist, Simon James, whose venue it is, you book a half hour well-being treatment around class and relaxation time.

A healthy, vegetarian-friendly lunch is cooked by Louise. She also provides us with delicious cakes, treats, teas and coffees, especially delightful when taken in the garden or on the roof terrace.

Prices
Chris - Pilates instruction £60 – please book and pay in advance
Chinese doctor (Simon James) - treatment  £20 – pay on the day
Louise – food  £22 – please pay in advance

The Pilates Marathon
A few years ago we held a Pilates Marathon to raise money for charity. We did a full demonstration of Joseph H Pilates’ original matwork sequence, 35 tough exercises. Held at Esporta Riverside Club, Dukes Meadow, Chiswick, in May 2003, the marathon raised a staggering £6,000 for:
* The Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital
* The Blue Cross & The Brooke Hospital for working animals
* St Martin in the Fields appeal for the Homeless.
